Trusted Computer Solutions Names George Newstrom
to Advisory Board

Virginia’s Former Secretary of Technology Joins Advisory Panel

 

HERNDON, Va., Feb. 16, 2005 — Trusted Computer Solutions, Inc. (TCS), a leading supplier of information sharing technologies to the Department of Defense, announced today that Virginia’s former Secretary of Technology, George Newstrom, will join its distinguished panel of advisors.

With more than 30 years business experience in the healthcare and government information technology industries, the Honorable George Newstrom brings TCS a wealth of knowledge and will play a key role in helping the company meet its strategic initiatives. Mr. Newstrom most recently served in Governor Mark Warner’s 2004 cabinet as secretary of technology and currently also serves as president and CEO of WISPER Technologies, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of IMC, Inc.

Prior to his position with the State of Virginia, Mr. Newstrom served as a corporate senior vice president and president, EDS Asia-Pacific, and has served on the boards of the Information Technology Association of America, the Northern Virginia Technology Council and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government advisory board. He was also a founding member of the not-for-profit IT leadership organization, Potomac Knowledgeway. He is currently chairman of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance, which hosted the World Congress on Information Technology in Virginia's Fairfax County in 1998.
