Trusted Computer Solutions
Names Top Military IT Expert to Advisory Board

Former US Army Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg Joins Panel of Distinguished Advisors

HERNDON, Va., Oct. 12, 2004 — Trusted Computer Solutions, Inc. (TCS), a leading supplier of information sharing technologies to the Department of Defense, the intelligence community and commercial industry, has announced the members of an elite advisory board created to strengthen the company's strategic position in government and commercial markets. The newly expanded advisory board, which held its first planning summit in July at TCS headquarters, provides the company with strategic guidance in its mission of enabling customers to securely share information and providing cyber-security solutions for cross-domain interoperability.

Joining the board is former US Army Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, now senior vice president, homeland security solutions at Oracle Corp. Kellogg, the distinguished former director of Command, Control, Communications and Computers (J-6) for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, now heads a virtual team throughout Oracle to address US homeland defense issues. Recently, from November 2003 to March 2004, Kellogg took an unpaid leave of absence from Oracle to serve in Iraq as chief operating officer of the Coalition Provisional Authority. Throughout his career, Kellogg has been a vocal advocate for using information technology as a weapons system in the military arsenal.

"We are honored to have a security leader of General Kellogg's stature join the distinguished members of the TCS advisory board," said Ed Hammersla, chief operating officer at TCS. "He and all the members of the board understand the key role that secure information sharing plays in the critical operations that occur among and between government and private entities. Like all the members of the advisory board, he is dedicated to assuring the protection of that critical IT infrastructure."

Returning members of the TCS advisory board include:

David W. Carey, Oracle Corp. vice president for information assurance. A 32-year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency, Carey now is in charge of demonstrating Oracle's security-related technology at the company's Information Assurance Center. At the CIA, Carey served as executive director, the number three position within the Agency, from 1997 to 2001. Carey also was one of the founders of the DCI Crime and Narcotics Center, and served in a range of executive capacities at the Agency.

William Gravell, director, identity management, Northrop Grumman. A retired naval cryptologic officer, Gravell has served on the Defense Science Board, the Independent Panel on the Central Intelligence Agency In-Q-Tel Venture, and the Industry Executives Subcommittee of the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC). A member of the executive board of the Electronic Industries Association (EIA) Internet Security Alliance, Gravell is also a member of the adjunct faculty of the National Defense University and a fellow at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies.

Ed Hart, president of Hart Enterprises, LLC. A former senior vice president and managing director of the Center for Information Protection with Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), Hart also had a distinguished career at the National Security Agency, where he served in a wide variety of technical and managerial positions, including deputy director for information security.

Lynn McNulty, CISSP, McNulty and Associates. McNulty leads the company he founded after his 1995 retirement from the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where he served as associate director for computer security. Also, from 1997 to 2000, McNulty was director of government affairs for RSA Security, where he was involved in the policy debate over export controls on commercial encryption products. Prior to NIST, McNulty served as the State Department's first Director of Information Systems Security.
