Trusted Computer Solutions Building Adds Former US Navy Intelligence Commander to Management Team

HERNDON, Va. - Sept. 27, 2004 — Trusted Computer Solutions, Inc. (TCS), a leading supplier of secure information sharing technologies to the Department of Defense, the intelligence community and commercial industry, has announced the addition of Sarah Kovel to its management team. Kovel serves as the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) Trusted Workstation (DTW) Program Manager for TCS, and operates out of the company’s San Antonio office.

Ms. Kovel provides direct government experience, via her 22-year tenure with the US Navy, to Trusted Computer Solution’s efforts supporting the worldwide deployment of the DTW initiative. As DTW Manager, Kovel is responsible for coordinating with the government’s DTW Program Office, supporting contractors and site managers to ensure successful implementations and fielding of this exciting technology.

Kovel brings significant experience to the TCS team. Most recently a Commander serving as Deputy Director/Director Information Systems for JICPAC, she led JICPAC efforts for the first operational deployment and accreditation of TCS SecureOffice Trusted Workstation — Thin Client, the primary component of the DTW. This project, once a relatively small-scale deployment of approximately 20 workstations, has expanded to an enterprise solution for the PACOM theater, and has now emerged as a DODIIS standard.

Kovel is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and earned her master’s degree in computer resources and information systems management from Webster University in St. Louis.
